ARTWORK GUIDELINES

When you send digital files to manufacture plates, it is important to include all the pieces necessary to output them correctly. Any mising fonts or graphics can result in incorrect artwork and a delay in turnaround time while the problems are resolved.

We are a Microsoft Windows-based art department and all plate layouts are generated by using Vector based arteork created in Corel Draw 11. All disck including floppy, zip, or CD-ROM must be PC-/IBM format. Any disck that is Macintosh format will not open in our computers and will result in delays.

Please note: In the past, we have received artwork created for use on the internet. This kind of artwork is very low resolution (72 dpi) and will not print well on tape or labels.

DIGITAL ARTWORK:

We prefer Corel Draw Windows Version 11 or earlier. We also accept exported files as Adobe Illustrator Files (.ai). Files can be saved as MAC versions as long as it is saved on an PC/IBM formatted disk. We also accept Photoshop files (.psd) Windows/Mac version 7.0 or earlier.

PRINTED ARTWORK:

You can send as any type of printed media such as Company stationary, or business cards.

NOTE: Information on this type of media must be clear, and legible for scanning purpouses, logo should be clear enough to be scanned at high resolution so, it can be imported into Corel Draw this will aid in turnaround time and help us finnish your job quiker.

ABOUT FONT:

If text was created in Corel Draw or Adobe Illustrator it can be converted in paths, curves, or outlines. This helps to ensure that what-you-see-if-what-you-get (WYSIWYG). If this is not possible, please send as the name of the type font that you preferred. We have an extensive font library. If you do not know the name of the font used in your logo/artwork, do not worry we can recreate the text whit using Corel Draw or Adobe Illustrator.
